(Meriden, Conn./WTIC) - A fatal crash Wednesday night in Meriden has State Police investigating.
The call came in just after 8:30 p.m.
Troopers say a female was found lying in the road on Interstate 691 on the westbound side between exits 9 and 8.
The female was found unresponsive between the "9" exit and entrance ramps and later pronounced dead.
Investigators say they couldn't identify the victim, adding that it appears she was struck by an unknown vehicle.
Troopers say they haven't much else to go on at this point.
