Record holiday travel is expected leading up to Christmas day. Airports nationwide are jammed. The Transportation Security Administration says they expect 40 million people across the nation to pass through security this holiday season.
Meantime Triple AAA says more than 122 million people will travel more than 50 miles from home--and increase of 2.2 percent from last year. Here in Connecticut more than one million people are expected to hit the road for the holidays--which is up two percent from 2024. So when is the best and worst time to travel? Triple AAA says the worst time to travel Monday and Tuesday is between 1pm and 7 pm. The best time to travel is before 10am.
