(Waterbury, Conn./WTIC) - In addition to 100-thousand doses of the Pfizer and Moderna Coronavirus vaccines due next week, Connecticut is also expected to receive 30-thousand doses of Johnson and Johnson's shot once approved by the FDA.
That has Waterbury officials moving a step closer to opening schools full-time.
Mayor Neil O'Leary says there will soon be a hotline where teachers and other public school staff can call and make their appointments.
The mayor says the mass vaccination site at Waterbury Arts Magnet School will have a special section for instructors and custodial staff to be vaccinated.
Governor Lamont says as of today the state's test positivity rate has ticked down once more, to 2.1-percent, with the number of hospitalizations also having fallen, as well.
