(Vernon, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Vernon have arrested a juvenile in connection with a shooting in town last week near an apartment complex.
Police say the suspect turned himself in on Friday after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest.
It stems from a May 11 shooting near the Park West Apartments on Terrace Drive.
The victim sustained serious injuries.
The suspect, whose name wasn't released due to his age, is facing a host of charges including attempted murder, assault, criminal use of a firearm, risk of injury and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Police say the investigation remains active and more arrests are expected.
