
Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is dead and another injured following some type of altercation early Saturday in Waterbury.
Police were dispatched to the area of 457 West Main Street around 2:00 a.m.
That's where they found a 22-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries.
While processing that scene, police were notified of a 27-year-old male who'd arrived at St. Mary's Hospital with stab wounds.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
A preliminary investigation suggests the two were involved in an altercation with others in which a knife was used.
The Waterbury Police Major Crimes Division is leading the investigation.
It's the city's first homicide of 2025.
