(Waterbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury convicted felon has been arrested for a rash of commercial burglaries in the city, police said.
The suspect has been identified as Juan Roman, 43, of Waterbury.
He's accused of burglaries at seven businesses between March fourth and the tenth. Police used a RapidHIT ID Analysis technology. Once they obtained a swab of evidence, the sample was matched under the Connecticut State Convicted Offender's database, leading to Roman's arrest.

Roman was served with multiple "Violation of Probation" arrest warrants for a previous larceny in February last year, Police said.
Further, Roman confessed to committing the recent burglaries. He's charged with burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.
He's held on a 390-thousand-dollar surety bond pending court arraignment.
"WPD investigators solved multiple commercial burglary crimes and Roman was charged accordingly as a result of good
police work and a strong collaboration with our partners at the State of CT Forensics Laboratory utilizing innovative
RapidHIT ID Analysis technology.” WPD Chief Fernando Spagnolo said.
