MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly rollover crash on Route 9.
Police say Vance Jenkins, 33, of Ansonia, crashed around 3:11 p.m. in the area of Exit 12 on Route 9 Southbound in Middletown.
Investigators say Vance was driving a Toyota 4RUNNER LTD that lost control on a curve in the roadway.
After the loss of control, the vehicle travelled across the highway into the right lane and shoulder, striking a slight embankment and a DOT light pole.
The Toyota rolled over onto its final roof.
State Police pronounced Jenkins dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
