Ansonia, Conn./WTIC Radio - An Ansonia police officer is facing disorderly conduct charges for an off-duty incident.
Officer Denyce Ruiz, 24, is charged.
Police say the arrest stems from an incident earlier this month.
An arrest warrant says on August 10th, family members called police after Ruiz became combative after spending the day drinking at a festival in Stamford, after which she was briefly hospitalized.
A statement from the police chief says the department holds its officers to a high standard on and off-duty.
An internal investigation into the matter is underway.
