According to police, the child's mother, Shameka Henri, failed to return Royalty to her father following a custody visit.

Police said she will remain with Alabama DHHS until her father arrives to take custody.

The child is 2-feet tall, between 20-and-30 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was described as last seen wearing a pink Minnie Mouse shirt and gray Minnie Mouse pants.

According to police, it was first believed that Royalty and Henri could be in the Stratford area or that Henri had taken the child out of state.

Anyone with any information on their whereabouts is asked to contact Ansonia Police.
