New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - An investigation is underway after New Haven police say a man was shot and killed at a city apartment complex Friday.
Police received multiple 911 calls around 5:30 Friday afternoon of a man, identified as 56-year-old John Reynolds, brandishing a machete.
Witnesses say Reynolds was roaming the halls of the Bella Vista complex on Eastern Street, banging on doors.
Police say Reynolds was apparently shot by another resident and died.
The person who shot Reynolds has not been arrested.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who has information to give them a call at 203-946-6304.
