Arrest made in 2016 Connecticut cold case

Twists and turns and a lot of distance involved in a sexual assault arrest in Waterbury, Connecticut.
 Niamkey Amichia – a 33-year-old former police officer from Washington state -- is charged with impersonating a Waterbury officer while assaulting a woman in her apartment just over seven years ago.
The police allege that Amichia found the woman through a classified prostitution add on backpage.com.
According to the victim, Amichia pretended to arrest her with zip ties, before assaulting her.
Amichia was busted following a DNA match with another assault case, that one 3000 mile away in Puyallup, Washington.
In that attack, Amichia is accused of meeting a woman working as a prostitute on a dating app and then raping her.
