Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - An arrest has been made in a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck in Hartford on Christmas.

Police say Tyron Davis, 26, turned himself in Wednesday morning.

A warrant shows that the Cybertruck driven by Davis crossed the center line on Cornwall Street, slamming head-on into a Toyota Camry carrying four relatives.

Malachi James, 14, of Middletown, suffered fatal injuries. Three other people in the Camry were injured.

Detectives say Davis fled the scene on foot.

He's facing a litany of charges including manslaughter, assault, evading responsibility involving death, failure to drive in a proper lane, and reckless driving.

He has a long criminal history, with Malachi's surviving relatives saying he should not have been out of jail at the time of the crash.

Bond was increased to $2.5 million at an arraignment Wednesday.
