Milford, Conn./WTIC Radio - An arrest has been made in a home invasion from June that left a man dead and his female companion injured.
This week, police arrested Stuar Lopez-Reyes, 25, of Bridgeport.
It was June 3 that Lopez-Reyes entered a home on East Broadway and shot Frederick Werner, 69, and Sandra Cooper.
Werner was pronounced dead.
Cooper survived the attack and is recovering.
Milford Police Chief Keith Mello said technology aided in the arrest of Lopez-Reyes.
"We also went to work searching our license plate data base which was vital in helping us identify the vehicle that was used in this crime and ultimately the suspects who committed this crime," said Mello.
He said more arrests are expected.
Lopez-Reyes faces charges of murder, murder in commission of a felony, home invasion and assault on an elderly person.
Bond was set at $3 million.
