Manchester, Conn./WTIC Radio - Manchester police say a man was seriously wounded in a stabbing last night that was the likely result of a fight.
It was around 11:45 p.m. that officers responded to 20-22 Thompson Road.
Upon arrival, officers say they found the victim, a 33-year-old man, with a stab wound to the eye.
The victim was bleeding heavily, say police, and was rushed to an area hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
Police later tracked down a suspect, 20-year-old Earl Hairston of Manchester, in a residence on Thompson Road.
He has been charged with assault and breach of peace.
Bond was set at $500,000 and Hairston is due today in Manchester Superior Court.
