Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Waterbury, police have made an arrest in connection with a brush fire from earlier this year at the Holy Land site on Slocum Street.
It was back on April 12th that fire crews were called to the scene.
They were able to put the fire out.
Police say there was evidence that a fire pit had been in use on a day the state issued a red flag warning for extremely dry conditions.
Now, under arrest is Deterrance Smith, 39, of Waterbury.
He's facing charges of reckless endangerment and open fire kindling without permit.
