Wolcott police have made a couple of arrests in connection to the death of woman getting hit while standing in a driveway.
James Sadlowski, 31, faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, intentional cruelty to a person, and evading responsibility.
Police say he, along with Alexandra Standish, 37, and her boyfriend Brandon Hamel were returning to the couple's Central Avenue residence in Wolcott early on February 10 after a night of drinking.
Police say Standish was run over by Sadlowski in the driveway, rendering her unconscious.
Police say the two men appeared to be in no rush to seek help for her, and once Hamel did get her to Bristol Hospital, he was uncooperative with the staff, and tried to block them from getting to her in the car.
Standish died at the hospital.
Hamel will face charges of interfering with a police investigation, and intentional cruelty to a person.
His bond has been set at $100,000.
He will be charged after he's released from the hospital where he's recovering from a motorcycle crash.
Sadlowski's bond has been set at $500,000.
Police say he surrendered at a Meriden motel without incident.
