The university said Auriemma, 68, began feeling ill with flu-like symptoms prior to the Florida State game on Sunday.
The coach said his doctor told him to take a few days off after not feeling well for about 10 days.
Associate head coach Chris Dailey will once again be at the helm when the Huskies take on the Pirates on Wednesday.
Dailey has a 14-0 record when filling in for Auriemma.
