Washington, D.C./WTIC Radio - The UConn men's basketball team was the toast of Washington D.C. Tuesday as President Biden invited the defending national champions to a ceremony in their honor, marking the Huskies second consecutive title and sixth overall.

Head Coach Dan Hurley says his team never lost focus throughout the long season.

"Our mindset is like relentless competitiveness", Hurley said.

"We mindfully communicate with each other", Hurley said, adding "I don't do that with the refs.

Biden joked he'd be available to coach or play this coming season since he'll be leaving office in January.

The Huskies begin their quest for a threepeat November 6th against Sacred Heart, a feat that hasn't been accomplished since UCLA won seven straight titles in the 60s and 70s.
