Waterford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Waterford are reporting the discovery of a body in Long Island Sound off the town's coastline Tuesday.
The find was made around 1:00 p.m.
Police, along with fire, ambulance and the U.S. Coast Guard dispatched personnel to the area where the individual was found in the water.
The New London State's Attorney's office and police are working with the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
