Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Waterbury has lifted the boil water advisory that had been in place since a water main break last week disrupted service throughout the city.
Late Thursday afternoon, the city reported test results from 22 locations came back negative for Coliform and E Coli bacteria.
Mayor Paul Pernerewski thanked residents and businesses for their patience and resilience throughout the emergency.
“This moment reflects the strength of our community and the dedication of the men and women who serve it", said the mayor.
Residents can now resume using tap water for drinking, cooking, and other household purposes.
