WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Watertown Police say there's an investigation into the report of a possible pipe bomb found in a detached shed on a property in town.
Police determined that the unknown object found in the area of Sperry and Lake Winnemaug Roads cannot be identified.
The Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad arrived at the scene to assist in the investigation, identification, and disposal of the item.
The property in question is a safe distance away from the nearby homes.
The area of Sperry Road at Lake Winnemaug Road will be closed pending this investigation.
