Bristol Police arrest juvenile over social media post

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Police arrested a juvenile for a social media post that depicted an unknown person in possession of weapons with a quote that read "Bristol Central Next".

Police received information about a safety concern to a local high school in regards to a social media post on Sunday. The juvenile was found to be re-posting an image that was circulating on social media of the unidentified person, according to police.

The arrest comes at a time where there have been several social media posts nationwide of threats to schools.

The juvenile was charged with Breach of Peace in the 2nd degree. At this time, there is no credible threat towards Bristol schools, police said.
