Bristol, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Bristol, police are looking for the person who attempted to lure a child into their vehicle.
Detectives say this happened on Wednesday afternoon, just before 3:30.
Investigators say security video shows a small SUV stop a child who'd just exited her school bus and was walking along High Street toward Main Street.
The person in the vehicle reportedly asked girl if she wanted a ride.
She continued walking along a shared driveway when the vehicle, possibly a Toyota Rav-4, followed her.
The vehicle left the area when the girl ran away, say police.
They're asking residents who may have video of the High Street area to review their footage and call them with any information.
They also advise parents to talk to their kids about being safe and being aware of their surroundings.
