HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The CDC is reporting six counties in Connecticut fall under the High/Orange category as part of the map tracking community levels of the coronavirus.
The agency launched the map in late February to remind of recommendations on prevention measures including mask wearing and testing.

The counties listed as "high" are Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, Tolland, and Windham.
Fairfield and New London counties are listed in the Medium/Yellow category.
Dr. Manisha Juthani, commissioner of the state Department of Public Health, says there are tools in place such as vaccines, first-and-second boosters, therapeutics, and test-to-treat locations, among others.
Those living in the High/Orange categories are urged to wear a mask indoors in public, keep up to date on vaccinations and get tested if they show symptoms.
