Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - On Sunday, Hartford police, family and the community will gather to remember and honor a fallen officer.
Detective Bobby Garten was killed and his partner seriously injured September 6, 2023 by a man fleeing a traffic stop.
Richard Barrington is now serving 16 years in prison for hitting the officer's police cruiser on Asylum Street.
On Sunday, there will be a ceremony for the honorary renaming of High Street to Bobby's Way.
The ceremony takes place at 10:00 a.m. at Hartford Police headquarters at 253 High Street.
