Farmington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A juvenile is in stable condition and a teenager under arrest after an accidental shooting Tuesday in a parking lot on Forest Park Drive in Farmington.
Police say Jordon Cruz, 19, is charged.
According to detectives, Cruz was in possession of the firearm illegally, which was left unattended in a vehicle.
That's when police say the 10-year-old got their hands on the gun and sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.
The child was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
Cruz faces over a half-dozen counts, including negligent storage of a firearm, risk of injury to a child, and reckless endangerment.
Bond was set at $300,000.
