There's less pain at the pump in Connecticut than anyplace else in this part of the country. You don't have to drive far to find New England's best gas prices. They are right here in Connecticut, says Triple A,
with the cost of regular now averaging three 34 a gallon. One Connecticut driver back from a very long drive says she found
prices here were the lowest along the entire east coast. A closer look
finds that drivers in hartford and Litchfield Counties pay less than anywhere else the state. Connecticut's highest prices
at the pump are in Windham and Fairfield Counties. The cost could jump by December, when Connecticut's quarter a
gallon tax suspension runs out.
