Bloomfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - One person died in a house fire Tuesday in Bloomfield.
The call went out around 2:30 p.m. to a home at 741 Blue Hills Avenue.
Police say the top floors of the structure were engulfed in flames and emergency personnel helped people evacuate.
The victim, a female, was last seen on the top floor.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Windsor and Hartford police assisted with road impacts and crowd control.
Bloomfield Police, the town fire marshal and the state fire marshal are investigating.
