WTIC Radio

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - After a week and weekend of mostly more comfortable temperatures, Governor Lamont is activating Connecticut's extreme hot weather protocol to start this week.

The state's extreme hot weather protocol will be activated starting at noon Monday and will remain in effect through at least Wednesday, July 30, at 8 p.m.

During this time, cooling centers will be available throughout the state as high temperatures reach the low to mid-90s with temperatures feeling like they're around 100 degrees at times.

You can find a cooling center closest to you by calling 211 or by visiting this website.

This is the third time the hot weather protocol has been activated this year.
