
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Connecticut Department of Correction has announced the first inmate death to COVID-19 in nearly six months.
Officials say the 45-year-old male had been transferred from the Osborn Correctional Institution to an outside hospital for treatment on October 15, 2020.
The inmate was serving three years for third degree burglary and second degree strangulation. His maximum release date was set for August 2021.
