Six votes is the razor thin lead held by Southington Democrat Chris Poulos over
Republican Tony Morrison. A vote difference of fewer than 20 triggers a recount, so this easily
qualifies. Six days after he declared victory, on Election night, Poulos now says he
assumed that there would be a recount, and also says he's still confident that he won. That would
mark a change for Southington, which has had a Republican state representative for the past
six years.
