Not just street takeovers, but interstate takeovers.
Acting on a tip that street racers were about to commandeer a tunnel early Sunday, Connecticut State Police had to shut down I-84 West in Hartford.
Cops ended up writing multiple tickets, for infractions ranging from
lapsed insurance to suspended licenses.
And then, not far north just a few hours later, police in Windsor responded to reports of a street takeover staged by motorcycles. That one, on I-91 South.
