The first of the three fatal crashes happened in Greenwich at about 9:50 p.m. on Saturday.
On Interstate 95, north of Exit 2 in Greenwich, a tractor trailer was parked in the right shoulder, police said. At about 6 o'clock that evening, Nilson Brito Diniz, 27, of West Haven, was driving on the exit 47 ramp on I-95 southbound in New Haven when he lost control of his motorcycle, police said.
The motorcycle drove into a concrete barrier, police said, and continued into the left lane metal beam guardrail.
Diniz was separated from the motorcycle in the crash, police said. He later succumbed to his injuries in Yale New Haven Hospital.
