CLINTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A Connecticut State Trooper is suspended in connection with a crash that happened on Christmas Day in 2022 in Clinton.
The crash happened in the area of West Main Street and Hull Street around 5:55 p.m.
In that crash, Trooper Daniel Barrera driving a 2018 Ford Taurus collided with a 2021 Toyota Rav-4. Serious injuries were reported in the crash.
State Police did not arrest Trooper Barrera. Charges have not been announced.
State Police say Trooper Barrera is suspended with pay and has been stripped of his police powers.
