Kent, Conn./WTIC Radio - Officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection have released the name of the person killed in a fall Thursday along the Appalachian Trail in the town of Kent.
Thirty-year-old Collin Salmon was from Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
DEEP says Salmon was rock climbing on the trail on River Road when he fell.
He was rushed to New Milford Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Salmon was a former resident of Warren, Connecticut.
The incident remains under investigation.
