Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state Department of Labor is out with its monthly jobs report.

DOL says employers added 6,300 jobs to their rolls last month.

The department revised the declines from May from 6,500 down to 4,200, it says, due in part to the strike at Pratt and Whitney that lasted three weeks.

Unemployment for June remained unchanged at 3.8%.

DOL director of research Patrick Flaherty says the year to date has been steady, not as robust as last year but still with plenty of jobs across industry.

Claims for unemployment remain low, the department says, at 31,000 filers.
