WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterbury Police arrest a man in connection with illegal marijuana, discovered during a domestic disturbance incident.
Officers went to a residence on Hillcrest Avenue around 1:53 p.m. Sunday on a reported domestic disturbance.
During the investigation, police found a large amount of marijuana inside the residence. Items related to drug paraphernalia and several plants actively used for growing marijuana were also found.
Officers allege Daniel Edwards, 54, of Waterbury, was the owner of the marijuana and related materials.
Police collected a total of 4.2 pounds of loose marijuana, as well as additional marijuana plants.
Edwards has been charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening in connection with the domestic disturbance. He was further charged with possession of one kilo of marijuana or more and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Edwards is currently held on a $25,000 bond.
