Danbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Dozens have been displaced from their homes after a fire Thursday at an apartment complex in on Sandpit Road in Danbury.
The call went out around 4:00 p.m.
Firefighters found flames shooting from the structure when the fire went to a second alarm.
One person was rescued using a ground ladder.
They were taken to Danbury Hospital for treatment, as were three others and a firefighter who were taken for evaluation.
Danbury fire officials say part of the structure collapsed.
About 60 firefighters from Danbury, Brookfield and Stony Hill responded.
Additional coverage was provided by neighboring departments from Ridgefield, New Fairfield, Bethel and Newtown.
They had the fire under control in about two hours.
There's no word yet on a cause.
