Eastford, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection continues to investigate a death this weekend on Crystal Pond in Eastford.
EnCon police were called to the scene on Sunday on a report of a missing person aboard a paddleboard.
Witnesses say the person fell into the water.
The 15-year-old girl from East Hampton was recovered by a good Samaritan, brought to shore, and treated before she was transported to Day Kimball Hospital.
She was later pronounced dead.
The chief medical examiner is working to determine an exact cause of death.
