
Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - The investigation continues into an explosion at a residence in Waterbury Sunday that left a man dead.
The call came in just before 6:00 p.m. to the home on Horseshoe Drive.
A preliminary investigation determined the explosion occurred within the residence but the exact cause has not been determined.
The victim was taken to St. Mary's Hospital and pronounced dead early Monday morning.
The State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit was to conduct a controlled detonation at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
