Fairfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Fairfield, police are charging a woman with 48 counts of animal cruelty.

The arrest of Glorianne Marie Lagnese, 59, stems from a dog found roaming the Steep Hill Road neighborhood covered in filth last month.

Dozens of animals were removed from her home.

Lagnese is free on $5,000 bond.

Fairfield police say all of the animals have been seized from Lagnese's home, which has been deemed uninhabitable, and are being held pending a court order.
