
Bloomfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - An investigation is underway in Bloomfield following a fatal fire in town on Friday.
Police say around 2:30 p.m., dispatch received a call reporting smoke coming from the windows of 14 Ivory Way.
The fire was contained to an upstairs bathroom, according to investigators.
It was after the blaze was extiguished that police say the male victim was found unresponsive in the bathroom and later pronounced dead at the scene.
The person's identity has not been released, nor has a cause of the fire.
Bloomfield detectives along with the local and state fire marshal's offices are investigating.
