Fatal glider crash investigation continues

Deep River, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police have released additional information regarding the crash Friday of an ultralight glider in the woods in Deep River.

Police say just after 4:00 p.m., local fire officials received the report of the small glider going down near Cedar Lake Road.

The glider was spotted with the pilot, Bradley Daar, 70, of Clinton.

He was airlifted to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.

Federal aviation officials along with those from the Connecticut Airport Authority were notified of the crash.

State police are leading the investigation and anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Sergeant Matthew Warren at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook.
