Fairfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - Fairfield police are investigating after they say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a garbage truck Wednesday morning.
It was just after 7:00 when dispatchers received a call that the 28-year-old victim had been struck in the area of Campfield Drive and Bloomfield Drive.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the garbage truck was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
No charges have been filed
The Fairfield police accident reconstruction squad is investigating, as is OSHA.
