HARTFORD, CONN (WTIC Radio)-A $150-thousand grant will allow the Women's Business Development Council to start a women's business center in Hartford.
The matching grant is for three years.
The Council supports economic prosperity for women through entrepreneurial and
financial educational services, growing sustainable jobs. It provides access to education, training mentoring, business
development and financing opportunities.
The U-S Small Business Administration provided the seed money for the center startup.
The WBDC learned of the funding last week. Work now begins to find a downtown Hartford location for the
business.
