Fire at building construction site in Bristol

Update: Insulation and roofing material burned in a midday fire in Bristol on Wednesday caused by construction equipment. No one was hurt and there was no structural damage to the assisted living facility that's under construction, according to Bristol Fire Chief Richard Hart. He says the fire broke out at around 11:30 am and was brought under control in about 15 minutes. The fire has been ruled accidental.

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Bristol fire crews are working a building construction fire on North Main Street.

Officials say several of the city's fire engines are at the scene of the midday fire Wednesday on North Main Street.

The building is slated to become the KindCare Assisted Living facility.

There is no word on what caused the fire. There is also no word on injuries at this time.
