New London, Conn./WTIC Radio - New London fire officials continue to investigate an early morning house fire from Monday.
The call came in around 4:00 a.m. to the multi-family structure on Eastern Avenue.
The fire wound up going to a second alarm after firefighters encountered heavy flames on the first and second floors.
Mutual aid was called in to assist
All seven occupants made it out safely.
The house sustained "significant damage", according to officials.
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries, were treated at an area hospital and later released.
The fire remains under investigation.
