Former Plymouth teacher arrested over inappropriate conduct with juvenile students

PLYMOUTH, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Plymouth Police arrest a former Plymouth Public Schools teacher following complaints of inappropriate conduct with several juveniles.

Plymouth Police say they began investigating complaints into James Eschert on September 29, 2021.=


Eschert, according to the complaints, had inappropriate conduct with several juveniles who were students at the time of the incidents.

Eschert is charged with five counts of risk of injury and two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree.

Eschert surrendered to Plymouth Police on Monday and was processed. He was taken to New Britain Superior Court where he is being held on a $350,000 court-set bond.
