WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A former West Haven High School athletic director has turned himself in to face charges that he stole school funds.
Jonathan P. Capone, 65, of West Haven turned himself in Tuesday evening to face charges of first-degree larceny and illegal use of a credit card, said police.
Police say their investigation included numerous interviews and analyzing thousands of pages of receipts and bills.
It wasn't immediately clear how much money Capone is accused of stealing, but first-degree larceny charges typically apply in thefts of over $20,000.
Capone was held on $50,000 bond,
