Waterbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-State Police, assisted by various local law enforcement agencies have charged a suspect for the illegal trafficking of ghost guns in the greater Waterbury area.

Ghost guns are illegally sold and manufactured without serial numbers.
State police say the arrest of Bryan Joyce, 36, of Southington came after a lengthy investigation, aided by several State Police task forces and Bridgeport, Shelton, Orange, Hartford and Waterbury Police.

Police seized multiple illegally sold and possessed firearms including AR-15 variant rifles and handguns, high-capacity magazines and ammunition.

Authorities also seized narcotics and other contraband. State Police say further arrests are anticipated.

Joyce faces a variety of weapons offenses and is due in Waterbury Superior  Court April sixth.
